Al-Nabaa Forum for Dialogue, located in the City of Karbala, hosted a specialized workshop on integrity, organized in cooperation with the Federal Integrity Commission. The event focused on bolstering the capacities of civil society organizations (CSOs) to combat corruption, support the implementation of the National Integrity Strategy, and strengthen transparency.
The workshop brought together representatives from the local government, state institutions, civil society organizations, and activists, who shared constructive insights to advance reform and promote accountability.
Haitham Aayed Hadi, representing the Department of Relations with Non-Governmental Organizations, stated that community partnership serves as a vital cornerstone in the fight against corruption. Meanwhile, Ali Al-Talaqani, Head of the Al-Nabaa Forum for Dialogue, emphasized that empowering civil society builds institutional trust and contributes to forging resilient, transparent institutions.
The workshop’s recommendations called for enhancing civic oversight, activating initiatives that promote transparency, embedding good governance, and facilitating sustainable development. The outcomes underscored the critical need for collaboration between official bodies and civil society to ensure the effectiveness of anti-corruption measures.
