Sulaymaniyah – Reaffirming its commitment to national dialogue and inter-community understanding in Iraq, Ali Al-Talaqani, Head of Al-Nabaa Forum for Dialogue, paid an official visit to Sulaymaniyah City in northern Iraq to meet with civic and national leaders.
Al-Talaqani was received by Rezan Sheikh Dler, former Member of Parliament and rapporteur for the Parliamentary Women’s Committee during the third and fourth legislative terms.
The meeting featured wide-ranging discussions on Iraq’s evolving political landscape and avenues to reinforce national stability. Both sides emphasized the need to strengthen constructive relations between the Federal Government and the Kurdistan Region to bolster national unity and serve Iraq's overarching interests.
Discussions also highlighted Al-Nabaa Forum's national role as an inclusive platform that bridges perspectives, encourages open dialogue across Iraq’s diverse communities, and supports youth and intellectual initiatives targeted at consolidating a shared national identity over narrow political divisions.
For her part, Rezan Sheikh Dler commended the Forum’s intellectual and national efforts to build trust and encourage common ground among Iraqis, stressing the crucial importance of sustained dialogue to deepen social cohesion and mutual understanding nationwide.
