Karbala – Ali Al-Talaqani, Head of Al-Nabaa Forum for Dialogue, received the Turkish Chargé d'Affaires in Iraq, Ali Kaya, on Sunday at the Forum’s headquarters in Karbala. The meeting focused on shared interests and discussed ways to strengthen cultural and intellectual exchanges between Iraqi institutions and foreign diplomatic missions.
During the meeting, both sides discussed potential areas of intellectual cooperation and the role of dialogue in bridging communities. They also discussed ways to develop communication channels between Iraqi civil society organizations and diplomatic and cultural entities operating in the country.
The officials emphasized the need for ongoing dialogue on cultural and societal topics, promoting the sharing of expertise and opening additional opportunities for institutional collaboration.
Assistant Consul General Karrar Al-Maamouri attended the meeting alongside several members and executive staff of the Al-Nabaa Forum, including Yousef Al-Majid, Alaa Al-Tu'ma, Coordination Officer Anwar Muayad, Communications Officer Sajjad Ali, News Officer and Researcher Mohammad Ahmed, and Researcher Hussain Essam.
The engagement is part of the Al-Nabaa Forum’s ongoing agenda of hosting domestic and international leaders to discuss intellectual, cultural, and public policy issues through constructive dialogue.
